The LVDS common mode for Texas Instruments devices extends from zero volts up to VCC. As a result, LVDS inputs can act as a universal translator being able to accept a wide range of Vod (amplitude) and common mode signals. This slide shows the output signal swings and common mode of popular high-performance FPGAs from Xilinx and Altera. Like most CML and LVPECL outputs, these can interface directly with the LVDS inputs.
