LTC2262-Slide7

The LTC2262 offers a great degree of flexibility and adjustment via the SPI interface. The ability to select the LVDS output current allows the user to adjust for the load or distance being driven. Internal LVDS termination resistors can be used to save external components and board space. The internal termination helps absorb any reflections caused by imperfect termination at the receiver. When the internal termination is enabled, the output driver current is increased by a factor of 1.6 to maintain about the same output voltage swing. A choice of four digital output test patterns enable in-circuit testing for verification of connection between the ADC and processor. The alternate bit polarity (ABP) mode is unique to the Analog Devices family of ADCs and is used to help reduce digital feedback when sampling weak signals. More details will follow later about the benefit of alternate bit polarity mode. Output clock phase shifting is also available via the SPI interface.
