The LTC2262 is a very flexible high-speed ADC that features an SPI-compatible interface in order to program and adjust a number of unique settings. The SPI port is used to select the digital output configuration, as well as select from seven LVDS output current settings to find the optimal power requirement based on load or distance being driven. It can also enable optional LVDS output termination to help absorb any reflections caused by imperfect termination at the receiver. Nap or sleep mode can also be selected via serial programming. If serial programming is not desirable, connecting the programming mode selection pin high enables the parallel programming mode where the SPI pins (CS, SCK, SDI) become parallel logic inputs that control a reduced set of ADC operating modes. Please see the pin descriptions in the datasheet for more details.
