Analog Devices has introduced a family of pin-compatible high speed ADCs ranging from 25Msps to 150Msps in 12-bit and 14-bit resolutions, in small 6mm by 6mm QFN packages. Operating from a 1.8V supply, these ADCs consume one-third the power of comparable ADCs of the same sample rate and resolution available on the market today. Ultra low power consumption is achieved without compromising AC performance. At 14 bits, the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is better than 73dB and at 12 bits, greater than 70.5dB SNR is achieved. Spurious free dynamic range (SFDR) is equal to or better than 85dB at baseband. The LTC2262 family offers flexible digital outputs that can be configured as full-rate CMOS, double data rate (DDR) CMOS, or double data rate LVDS. In addition to offering considerably lower power, the LTC2262 integrates two unique features for reducing digital feedback in situations where even good layout practices may fail. These features, in combination with low power, ease the task of designing with high-speed ADCs in a wide variety of applications.
