So, when choosing and designing a circuit for pack management, it’s important to know if that circuit can be tailored to a users specific battery type. TI’s impedance track gauges are programmed with a specific Chemical ID data table corresponding to a specific type of cell to provide accurate monitoring and capacity estimation. The pack protectors in the bq76  and bq77 series of products are all customizable, either via EEPROM settings or pre-set factory programmed options, to have their over and under charge thresholds set up for specific types of cells.
