The high speed timer, millisecond timer, and the watchdog timer are inherent to the LPC3000 family. The four general purpose timers are adopted from the LPC2000 family and explained in the next slide. Some key points from the first block - the high speed timer is clocked by the peripheral clock, the millisecond timer is clocked by the 32 KHz RTC clock, and the watchdog can be used as a standard timer if not used as a watchdog.
