In order to make it easier for the designer to add sensor capability to embedded applications, TI has developed a Sensor Hub Booster Pack which consists of onboard gyroscope, accelerometer, and compass for motion sensing and tracking, plus pressure, humidity, temperature, and light sensors for environmental monitoring. When used with a Tiva™ C Series Launchpad evaluation kit, it serves as a great starting point to jumpstart embedded development applying different sensors using Sensor Library and TM4C123x MCUs. The designer can pick and choose from several IDEs such as TI’s CCS, Keil’s µVision, IAR’s EW and Mentor Embedded’s Sorcery Code Bench. TI has also included several examples that demonstrate how to streamline development of sensor-enabled embedded applications and add ‘sense’ to projects.
