Welcome to the Texas Instruments Tiva™ C Series TM4C123x FPU product training module. This presentation will highlight the Floating Point Unit on the state of art TM4C123x family of microcontrollers. There will be a review of the IEEE 754 standard for representing floating point numbers, and the FPU on the TM4C123x microcontrollers, its modes of operation, and registers. The CMSIS DSP library and TivaWare for C Series APIs will be reviewed, and points to be mindful of when using the floating point unit will be discussed, as well as resources where additional information can be found.
