KTS1661 Low-Resistance Load Switch

Kinetic Technologies’ KTS1661 low-resistance load switch features an adjustable current limit, soft-start (SS), and ideal diode reverse current protection (RCP). It is optimized to protect systems with USB Type-C® ports that source up to 12.5 W at 5 V and must withstand up to 29 V on VBUS.
The KTS1661 uses an external resistor to set the current limit from 500 mA to 2.5 A. SS limits inrush current and automatic ideal diode RCP isolates the system’s internal rail whenever VBUS is driven to a higher voltage, as when charging. The FLT flag indicates an overcurrent or overtemperature fault condition.
The KTS1661 is available in an advanced, fully green compliant, 1.31 mm x 1.31 mm, 9-bump wafer-level chip-scale package (WLCSP).
