The high efficiency design allows for superior conduction/convection ratings in this small, open frame 3x5” footprint. Open frame models with conduction or natural air flow operation have an extended temperature range of -40°C ~ +85°C (with derating). The open frame version with 115 or 230 VAC input can deliver a continuous 450 watts of output power up to +50°C with 21 CFM of air flow from an external, system provided fan. With the system provided airflow, this series also has a usable 270 watts of continuous output power at an elevated +80°C ambient temperature. The 12 VDC auxiliary output has an integrated variable fan speed controller to help manage audible fan noise. The open frame version, when mounted to a thermal conducting metal baseplate at 115 VAC input, allows the 12 and 15 VDC versions to run at 250 watts and the 24/36/48 VDC models to run at 260 watts up to +50°C. At a higher 230 VAC input, the 24-48 VDC models can run up to 350 watts continuous at +50°C. In a natural convection cooled environment at 115 VAC input, the 12 and 15 VDC versions deliver 210 watts and the 24/36/48 VDC models deliver 220 watts up to +50°C. At a higher 230 VAC input the 24-48 VDC models can run up to 320 watts continuous at +50°C with only natural convection cooling.
