TDK’s “Reverse Geometry C Series” is offered in EIA case sizes ranging from 0204 to 0612, capacitance ratings up to 10mF, and voltage ratings from 4V to 50V. It is available in temperature characteristics such as X5R, X6S, X7R, and X7S. A Reverse Geometry Capacitor displays superior high frequency characteristic through its construction by reversing the Length and Width to make the current path short and wide. Consequently, the ESL of a Reverse Geometry capacitor is ¼ times that of a standard capacitor. Additionally, its attenuation characteristic performance is approximately 15dB less than that of standard capacitor in the GHz bandwidth.
