Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W

Following up on the success of the Raspberry Pi Zero W, Raspberry Pi has developed a more powerful version of the Zero in the same form factor

Image of Raspberry Pi's Zero 2 WRaspberry Pi’s Zero 2 W is a product in their most affordable line of single-board computers. Since it is the same form factor, the Zero 2 W is a drop-in replacement for the Zero W.

The Zero 2 W includes a quad-core 64-bit Arm® Cortex®-A53 CPU clocked at 1 GHz and is built around a Raspberry Pi RP3A0 system in package (SiP), integrating a BCM2710A1 die with 512 MB of LPDDR2 SDRAM. This configuration enables the Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W to have 40% more single-threaded performance and five times more multi-threaded performance than the original single-core Raspberry Pi Zero W.

The Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W offers 2.4 GHz 802.11 b/g/n wireless LAN and Bluetooth® 4.2, support for Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), and modular compliance certification.

The Zero 2 W contains a microSD card slot, a CSI-2 camera connector, a USB On-The-Go (OTG) port, and an unpopulated footprint for a HAT-compatible 40-pin GPIO header. It is powered by a micro USB port. Video output is sent through a mini HDMI port; however, composite video output can easily be made available through the test points if needed.

Being the Zero 2 W shares the same form factor as the Zero W, it will fit into most existing Raspberry Pi Zero cases.
