F Series Aluminum Circular Push-Pull Connectors

LEMO’s compact F series circular aluminum push-pull self-latching connectors offer a compact, lightweight solution to many applications in the autonomous, military, and aerospace markets. They provide a secure mechanical and electrical connection with an audible click when mated and offer multiple mechanical keying options to avoid cross-mating, as well as standard and reverse gender configurations. The standard gun-metal gray nickel-plated aluminum alloy housing material can withstand 96 hours of salt spray corrosion testing with optional alternate nickel Teflon® - NiCorAl^TM treatment for up to 500 hours, or chrome-plated brass for up to 1,000 hours. Sealed to IP67 for environmental protection when mated according to IEC 60529. The latching system offers high shock and vibration resistance, and the shells are designed to be scoop-proof to prevent damage to the contacts when mating. Multiple keyways provide smooth operation for blind mating applications. The rear body allows for 360° shield termination using either constant force spring or metal band securing and can either be overmolded or use a straight or elbow heat shrink tubing for cable management. Breakaway options are available for pilot ejection seats or ground soldier helmets.

Machined brass and bronze electrical contacts offer highly reliable and repeatable performance and are gold-plated over hard nickel. Crimp or printed circuit board (PCB) contacts can be selected for best application fit and are rated for at least 1,000 mating cycles.

The durable, lightweight aluminum housings offer weight savings. They have been used in many critical airborne applications such as autonomous drones, piloted aircraft, as well as high-performance ground-based vehicles and soldier-wearables.

Most connector models are UL and CSA recognized under LEMO’s UL file number E119802, which can aid in approving the overall system. They are also RoHS and REACH compliant. LEMO is ISO 90001 and 13485 certified.
