Infineon Technologies' EZ-PD CCG4 is a two-port USB Type-C port controller with power delivery based on PSoC™ technology and offers an ideal solution for desktops, notebooks, and systems like power banks, monitors, and docks. It supports three modes: upstream-facing ports (UFP), downstream-facing ports (DFP), and dual-role ports (DRP).
EZ-PD CCG4 integrates a 128 kB flash memory supporting fail safe boot-up, four 1 W VCONN FETs, overvoltage and overcurrent protection, and 15 kV system-level ESD protection on a single chip, reducing BOM area and cost significantly.
