These medium-voltage capacitors offer an operating temperature of +125°C and a 100 V rating with a resin electrode between the Sn-/Ni-plating that normally covers the terminal electrode of an MLCC and the underlying electrode (Cu or CuNi). The resin electrode absorbs and relaxes external vibration and flexural stress, suppressing crack generation.

The industry standard for flexure is 2 mm minimum. Using these KYOCERA AVX flex-term capacitors provides up to 5 mm of flexure without internal cracks.
