DigiKey Employee Picnic with Analog Devices and Wurth Electronics

With a beautiful, late-summer Minnesota day as the backdrop, more than 3,000 DigiKey employees in Thief River Falls joined together on August 23rd with leaders from Analog Devices and Wurth Electronics to celebrate at the annual employee picnic. DigiKey and their supplier partners recognize the hard work of the employees by hosting the annual event in the company parking lot next to the building. This was a special year for the celebration as DigiKey continues to honor its 45th anniversary. We never could have made it this far without quality partners like ADI and Wurth!

Providing 3,000 hot meals at a picnic can be a daunting task, but the experienced team pulled it off without a hitch. Beginning at 10:45am, groups of almost 500 employees with pre-scheduled times began pouring out of the building with hourly regularity. Based on a Wild West theme, employees had a choice of roast beef or BBQ chicken sandwiches, potato salad, fruit salad, and beans, with popcorn and ice cream bars for dessert. During the meal, employees heard from DigiKey, Analog Devices and Wurth leaders about the accomplishments of the year and the success of the partnerships. After enjoying their meal, employees received a gift, sponsored by Analog Devices and Wurth Electronics, of a camouflage picnic blanket from Fleet Supply.
