In a CAN-bus network, all nodes are connected to each other through a two-wire bus, hence the term CAN-bus. The wires are 120 Ω nominal twisted pair. The diagram shown here is an ISO 11898-2 network, also called high speed CAN, which uses a linear bus terminated at each end with 120 Ω resistors.
