Additionally, Murata’s metal terminal MLCC was mounted on a printed circuit board and subjected to 50VDC and 10VAC p-p @ 3kHz. It produced 40-50 decibels of acoustic noise compared to the 70-75 decibels produced by an identical MLCC mounted directly to the circuit board without metal terminals.
