The CL-DA and CL-DB detect switches can be used in communication devices or industrial equipment where presence detection of a device or detection of opening and closing are required. The CL-DA and CL-DB may also be used in A/V equipment to detect presence of media such as a DVD, or in OA equipment for paper-out detection. An example of opening and closing detection in a laptop computer is shown in the photograph on this slide.
