TDK’s PowerHap is an innovative piezo actuator with high quality haptic feedback and sensor functionality. PowerHap provides designers with many features to enhance the sensory experience of HMIs. The devices have a very low insertion height, but provide high acceleration, high force, and a large displacement, providing a strong click-like feedback to the user. The actuators can also be used to detect pressure up to 25 N and allows for individually settable tripping force, eliminating the need for separate touch sensors. PowerHap is designed to deliver the fit and performance required in automotive HMIs, industrial equipment, appliances, kiosks, and consumer electronics.
