The mCal feature enables an extremely low offset voltage of 200µV maximum because of the on-board calibration circuit. This calibration occurs during power-up, or based on the status of the CAL pin (on select devices, as previously mentioned). The high output current drive of the MCP62x and MCP65x amplifiers make them ideal for a number of applications that require driving heavy loads. While the MCP621/2/5 is capable of 70mA, the MCP651/2/5 is rated for 95mA. The MCP651/2/5’s rail-to-rail feature allows the output voltage to come within 50mV (40mV with MCP651/2/5) of the input supply when 5.5VDD is used. This feature maximizes the dynamic range of the amplifier, especially at low operating voltages.
