RESDxVx Series ESD Diodes

ROHM RESDxVx series ESD protection diodes are designed to protect high-speed data communication interfaces in automotive, industrial, and consumer applications, even at data rates exceeding 10 Gbps. As electronic systems become more compact and data rates continue to increase, maintaining signal integrity while protecting sensitive ICs from electrostatic discharge is critical for reliable system operation.

The RESDxVx series addresses this challenge by combining ultra-low terminal capacitance with low dynamic resistance, overcoming the traditional trade-off between signal integrity and protection performance. With capacitance as low as 0.24 pF (bidirectional) and dynamic resistance of 0.28 Ω, the series minimizes signal degradation and reduces clamping voltage by approximately 40% compared to conventional solutions. This enables stable, high-speed communication while ensuring robust IC protection.

The devices support a wide range of high-speed interfaces, including USB4, PCI Express, HDMI, and DisplayPort, making them suitable for next-generation communication equipment. AEC-Q101 qualified models are also available, supporting demanding automotive applications such as ADAS, autonomous driving systems, and ECUs.
