Image of STMicroelectronics' B-G431B-ESC1 Discovery Kit with STM32G431CB MCU STMicroelectronics' B-G431B-ESC1 is an ESC that is designed to drive a single 3-phase brushless motor (BLDC/PMSM). This ESC performs a FOC algorithm which ensures optimal dynamic performance, 6-step control with speed regulation, and an active braking function algorithm. This board is composed of a main power board which embeds an overcurrent/overvoltage, a thermal protection unit, and a daughterboard with a 5 V battery eliminator circuit (BEC). The B-G431B-ESC1 is suitable for small and light vehicles thanks to the form-factor while the motor current capability makes the ESC board suitable for bigger applications such as R/C vehicles, UAV drones, electric cars, and electric boats.
