Image of STMicroelectronics ALED6000 Monolithic Current Source STMicroelectronics' ALED6000 is a step-down monolithic switching regulator designed to source up to 3 A_DC current for high power LED driving. The wide input voltage range makes the ALED6000 the ideal choice for automotive systems. The 250 mV typical R_SENSE voltage drop enhances the efficiency performance. Digital dimming is implemented by driving the dedicated DIM pin. The adjustable current limitation, designed to select the inductor RMS current accordingly with the nominal output LED’s current, and the switching frequency adjustability make the size of the application compact.
