These extenders utilize standardized structured wiring including CAT5, CAT5e, CAT6, or fiber-optic cables to overcome USB distance limitations using new or existing cabling infrastructure. The USB extenders provide a variety of solutions with different features.

Includes power adapters or bus-powered extenders
OS independent for plug-and-play installation requiring no additional drivers or software
Active extension over copper or fiber-optic wiring
Device support: USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5 Gbps), USB 2.0 (480 Mbps), or USB 1.1 (12 Mbps)

Applications

Extend USB connections of peripherals: printers, scanners, or external hard drives to reach distant workstations in large office buildings
