RT6056 High/Low-Side Measurement Current-Sense Monitor
Richtek’s bidirectional monitor provides a wide temperature environment of -40°C to +125°C and input voltage of 2.7 V to 5.5 V
Richtek’s RT6056 is a high-accuracy current-sense monitor with an I²C and SMBus interface that provides full information for a system by reading out the load current and power. The device monitors drops across the sense resistor and the bus voltage, converting the current in amperes and the power in watts through an internal analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The programmable calibration, adjustable conversion time, and averaging function are also built in for more design flexibility.
The RT6056 provides a wide temperature environment from -40°C to +125°C and operates with an input voltage from 2.7 V to 5.5 V. The device senses the current on common-mode bus voltage with 0 V to 36 V. The RT6056 provides an alert function with open-drain output and full protection by giving a warning to the host in overcurrent, overvoltage, and overpower situations. It is available in a small MSOP-10 package.
