TNC miniature connectors are considered mid-sized and use a threaded coupling arrangement. The stability of the threaded coupling allows the connectors to perform up to 11 GHz with improved resistance to adverse environments including vibration, moisture, corrosion, and thermal variations. IP68 bulkhead versions are available. Typical applications include mobile communications, avionics, and antenna ports for wireless base units.
