The stainless-steel shell has solder tabs and dual locating pegs to ensure exceptional stability when mounted on a PCB. The connector is rated to 5,000 mating cycles, providing excellent durability for a wide range of cellular-based applications, and its contact design can withstand harsh and angular insertion of the SIM card.

To simplify the production process and PCB preparation, the SIM8066 PCB footprint does not require contact clearance holes to be drilled due to the contact configuration within its design.

The SIM8066 represents a compelling solution for embedding cellular capabilities into small and compact devices while remaining price competitive in a package most engineers will know and understand.
