Image of Digilent's Thermocouple PmodTC1The Digilent PmodTC1 is a temperature-sensing peripheral module with cold-junction compensation and a K-Type thermocouple and is capable of measuring temperatures ranging from -270°C to +1,372°C. The temperature data is sent in an SPI read-only format as a signed 14-bit data stream with 0.25°C of resolution. Rather than being limited to measuring the ambient temperature, the TC1 with its K-Type thermocouple can safely collect specific-point temperatures without damaging the IC.
