Image of Bridgetek Pte Ltd. IDM2040-21R Rotary Dial Module The Bridgetek Pte Ltd. IDM2040-21R is a 2.1" circular rotary dial display module based on the FT800 embedded video engine with onboard RP2040 MCU. The module features a 480x480 full-color graphical display with a capacitive touchscreen. Users can also interact with the module via the 24-step rotary encoder dial and pushbutton, which are incorporated into the outer ring of the enclosure.

Users can develop unique user interfaces for the integrated FT800 embedded video engine using comprehensive development tools, and the onboard RP2040 microcontroller unit (MCU) can be programmed over USB. Included custom touch code allows the module to support a capacitive touch panel using the FT800. The IDM2040-21R can be interfaced with external devices via the RS485, universal asynchronous receiver-transmitter (UART), inter-integrated circuit (I²C), and audio output.

The host MCU RP2040 is developed by Raspberry Pi with dual 32-bit Arm® Cortex®-M0+ core processors running at up to 133 MHz, 264 kB of SRAM, and 8 MB of onboard Flash memory
2.1" round LCD screen provides 480x480 resolution with capacitive touch support
One I²C for connecting multiple peripherals
One UART for serial communication
One RS-485 for reliable long-distance communication with other devices

RGB-666 hardware interface for high-quality color display
Rotary encoder: 24 steps with a pushbutton for input and control
The display includes SDA, SCL, RST#, and INT# pins for the touch-panel interface, which is used for I²C communications with the CST826 touch controller (compatible with FT3267)
IPS TFT LCD display, ST7701S controller, 300 cd/m² typical brightness, and 80° viewing angle in all directions
Single 5 V power supply from USB-C or 6-pin JST connector
Supports C/C++, MicroPython, and CircuitPython development
