Shown here are some additional details of the BM14270AMUV-LBE2 which is the contactless current sensor using MI technology showcased in this PTM. Some of the notable specifications are the higher temperature range of 125°C vs standard devices 105°C allowing for use in the industrial space. This device comes equipped with a digital interface using I²C for control and a 14-bit digital output. Some main applications for this device are power meters, power conditioners, and UPS devices. Because the sensor to the ADC is all available in a single package and because it is capable for current measurements with very low power consumption, this is the optimal solution for power monitoring.
