PXB Series DC-DC Converters

TDK-Lambda has added a new series to its already successful PX family of DC-DC converters. The fully-isolated PXB series have a tiny 1" x 1" footprint and are designed for applications ranging from communications to factory automation equipment. The PXB series offers both single and dual-output models with nominal inputs of 12 V_DC in a 2:1 version, or inputs of 24 V_DC and 48 V_DC in 2:1, or wide-range 4:1 version. They are available in a shielded and ultra compact metal case.

Available single-output voltages for models include 3.3 V_DC, 5 V_DC, 12 V_DC, and 15 V_DC. In addition, dual-output models are available that provide ± 5 V_DC, ± 12 V_DC, and ± 15 V_DC outputs. Efficiency is up to 88%. Remote ON/OFF and output adjustment ("trim" on single output models) features are standard, plus all models include overvoltage and overcurrent/short-circuit protection. The operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C.

The PXB models are designed for through-hole mounting. All models are CE-Marked and are certified to UL/IEC/EN60950-1 safety standards, as well as meeting the rigorous MIL-STD-810F thermal shock and vibration specifications.
